Mr Cranky leaves the house

For those that care….. Kyle Sandilands has left the Big Brother house in a neatly-staged storm in a teacup.

Sandilands entered the house on Saturday to “shake the housemates up” and provide some cross-promo for the upcoming Australian Idol and his radio show on 2DAY FM.

But Kyle copped a migraine and left the house early, causing today’s radio broadcast to be dropped.

During his short stint Sandilands argued with BB and forcing open the door to the Diary Room with a microphone stand.

He also refused to remove his baseball cap “for religious reasons” causing a mexican standoff with a silent BB. It was part of a bigger, heated exchange in which Sandilands let BB know he wasn’t playing along.

But was it all staged? Did it give BB the kind of “controversial” footage the show wanted? Did it get media outlets and websites like this talking about BB?

You bet. Mission accomplished.

  1. He actually came accross as a real woman hater … and it was obvious that BIG Big Brother spoke to him in the middle of it all, then they cut it out! There is no justification for him going off like that!
    Jack!

  2. Kyle had a very convenient “migraine” as his excuse for leaving the show.I believe he thinks he’ll get even bigger ratings from his radio show because of the dramatic exit….He couldn’t care about the BB show….just himself..His ego is so big he thinks arguing and being nasty to BB is going to get the audience on his side.

  3. Listening to him this morning on the radio he told how he spoke to an exec-producer in the midst of his “tantrum” (I think he said it was just after he broke through the DR door). 2dayfm tried to get the audio of this and were refused and he knew it would never air on BB as it was full of swearing “the F-word and the C-word” according to him. It was this altercation that he has said brought on the migraine and literally took his blood pressure up.

Yes he suffers from migraines fairly regularly and knows that getting worked up and angry brings them on quite quickly. He admitted he gets worked up over small things and was quite lighthearted and self-deprecating (unusual for him) going as far as saying that he can be “a bit mental”.

Obviously those who don’t like Kyle never will and it wouldn’t matter what he said this morning the conspiracy theories will still fly around.

  4. We feel his whole appearance in the house was planned and the OTT outburst at BB was staged to portray him as the “bad Judge” for the upcoming Idol series … but his behaviour was disgusting …
This sort of stunt has no place on Aussie TV … put someone “interesting” into the house next time instead of exploiting it for Idol.
    Jack!

  5. Why would have to be staged? What’s your evidence? He’s done the power trip on Idol, his radio show and even Celebrity Big Brother. Why would this be any different?

They’ve been advertising on their radio station about Kyle broadcasting from the house and now a loss for them as it’s been axed.

I think BB’s producers will be kicking themselves he didn’t stay longer. Ratings for the Sunday Daily show haven’t been better and the eviction was high too (tho that may have been due to the different eviction). They need to spice it up and mix things around like this if they want to keep it interesting.

  6. Kyle is a fat, arrogant self-absorbed loser, and nobody gives a f*** what he thinks. It’s okay for him not to think much of the HMs (I mean, who does) but to call them “peasants” and “pathetic” is just pushing it, when he himself has nothing to show for his career despite his (albeit limited) status.

  7. I think that altercation with BB in the diary room started his migrane.

There was a lot edited out where he talked with the producer and promises, as Kyle has told already on his radio show and they have refused to release that footage.

I guess they didn’t realise what they were getting themselves into!
