Sir Ian McKellen for Kerri-Anne

Esteemed actor Sir Ian McKellen will join Kerri-Anne Kennerley this Friday for a live Melbourne shoot of Mornings with Kerri-Anne.

The veteran actor is currently touring Oz as part of a sell-out ‘King Lear’ production.

And The Choir of Hard Knocks, from the ABC’s acclaimed observational series, will perform live in studio. Nine has wasted no time tapping into the popularity of this hit ABC show, previously showcasing the group on 60 Minutes.

Others on one of the KAKster’s regular Melbourne visits include Ian Stenlake, Allanah Hill and Dave O’Neil.

Mornings with Kerri-Anne will be LIVE from Melbourne this Friday, July 27 on Channel Nine.

The Queen of Australian daytime television, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, will broadcast a fantastic morning of fashion, food and fun from Channel Nine’s Richmond studios.

The Choir of Hard Knocks, a not-for-profit choir that gives the homeless and disadvantaged a place and reason to enjoy creativity and community, will perform live following their emotive performance on both National Nine News and 60 Minutes in recent weeks.

The No Junk Male segment will feature Nine’s Tony Jones and Billy Brownless, Sea Patrol’s Ian Stenlake and 3AW’s breakfast announcer John Burns who will provide constructive advice and opinions on all sorts of dilemmas at home or work.

Veteran actor of British stage and screen, Sir Ian McKellen, who is touring the world in a production of Shakespeare’s King Lear, will also join Kerri-Anne. McKellen is best known to moviegoers in recent years for his roles as Gandalf and the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Magneto in the X-Men trilogy.

Comedian and radio star Dave O’Neil will be on hand to provide viewers with some of his foolproof cooking tips while Kerri-Anne will enjoy fun and games with a lesson on how to use a hula hoop.

Melbourne’s queen of girly chic, Alannah Hill, will be a special guest, unveiling her spring/summer collection with models showcasing fabulous, feminine frocks. Hill will also share her exciting international fashion expansion plans which include Dubai and Asia .

Kerri-Anne is excited about this week’s Melbourne broadcast.

“The Melbourne shows are always so much fun. Melbourne people have a real sense of style, the shopping and food in Melbourne is fabulous – it’s the real capital of Australia and it’s time we started investigating more of it,” Kerri-Anne said.
