In tonight’s episode, inspectors save some abandoned sheep running wild in an industrial lot, left unshorn for over two years the weight of their wool has stopped them in their tracks. Meanwhile, a cat saved by the RSPCA when found dying of a tick bite is reunited with its owners after being missing for two years and a Labrador puppy is rescued after being discovered beaten and hurt. “In Plain Sight” Megan feels responsible for an agent’s death following an explosion at a meth house the FBI had targeted for a bust. When the kingpin eludes capture, it’s discovered he may also be involved in child pornography when one of the photographs on his computer turns out to be a young girl in a sexually explicit position. The picture sends Charlie on a crusade of his own, as he remembers a girl he knew as a young child that he suspected was being abused, and he’s determined to save the little girl in the picture.

[SBS/7:30pm] The Art of Picking Up in Paris. Twenty-eight-year-old Sophie lives in the city of lights, the city of love – Paris. She is single and desperately trying to meet Mr Right. To help her in her quest, she decides to get some tips from local experts, of both sexes, on the art of picking up. The Art of Picking Up in Paris screens on SBS Television, Tuesday, July 17 at 7.30pm, following on from Bastille Day. Throughout the program Sophie, and the television viewer, meet a diverse bunch of Parisians, straight and gay, who all have their particular techniques for wooing a potential partner. Sophie meets Sherif, whose usual haunt is the Champs Elysees. But, as Sophie soon discovers, Sherif dreams of eventually marrying a nice Muslim virgin. Philippe relies on his Porsche and macho good looks to impress the ladies. And, surprisingly, it seems to work. But what he’s really looking for, as Sophie soon learns, is a shoulder to cry on. And so it goes – boys and girls on the prowl who mostly end up alone and depressed. The results don’t seem promising for Sophie. As her quest draws to an end Sophie finds herself still single and still looking for Mr Right.
