It’s Bert vs Patti

It’s game on for the Newton family.

Assuming she doesn’t get booted from Dancing with the Stars anytime soon, Patti Newton will soon find herself competing with hubby Bert.

Nine is returning new episodes of 20 to 1 in its favoured 7:30pm Tuesday timeslot from October 30.

The scheduling puts the Nine show head to head with Seven’s series, which this season features Patti Newton.

20 to 1 will replace Surprise, Surprise Gotcha which ends next week.

  1. i disagree with both the previous posts, berts been around for a long time, yes, but the only chat/variety show hes ever successfully headed was GMA which was on at like 9am, and even then as soon as Kerri-Ann came along with some decent competition shes flogging him in the ratings..all the other shows hes been involved with (IMT, Don Lane) hes been the sidekick, which hes very good at..I just dont think his style suits primetime TV in 2007..he should retire while he still has some dignity left!

  2. I agree with what that anonymous person said, Bert is a legend and he always brings joy when ever my wife and I watch him. I can’t wait to see him back on our screens again and Dancing with the stars is just so boring now, nothing has changed about it. It’s just another boring tv show from 7
I will be watching Bert next week on 20 to 1 next week..
I am excited now, I can’t wait to tell my wife that Bert is back on again

  3. The sooner 9 realises that Bert needs a talk/chat show that highlights what a legend he is, the better. A Monday 930 or even Saturday night spot, would be perfect….. The way he interacts with celebrities and other guests of note is what has made Bert who he is…. He is wasted on a clip show, and was brilliant on GMA….
Having said that, 20 to 1 is an infinitaly better option than Dancing with the ….ugh… Stars…
