Mary files suit against SBS

Newsreader Mary Kostakidis is again making news herself after her lawyers today filed a lawsuit against SBS.

Kostakidis is suing the network for breach of contract.

The claim follows her walking from the position on World News Australia, a role which she has co-hosted alongside Stan Grant since the start of the year.

According to The Age, Kostakidis says she was bullied by the network, and her “status as principal news presenter supplanted without consultation.”

It was only this week that SBS got around to removing her name as a newsreader in their weekly Guides. It still had her listed up to October 19th 2007.
