Rove back in the USA

It’s probably just as well Rove has been in the States this week, what with some dubious songs that have been the subject of much discussion this week…
Confidential claims the host is back in the USA with manager Kevin Whyte, possibly to discuss further ideas of working there once his contract with TEN ends later this year.
Rove has made two successful guest appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, who is said to be a fan of his work.
McManus has also said he will not give up his Australian show lightly.
Meanwhile there is ongoing jockeying of various “tonight” show roles in the US with David Letterman due to finish up in 2010 and Leno himself having a change of heart about his planned exit in 2009.

Does anybody know if the American Audiences are taking to Rove?
I’m yet to run into anything about his visits to American on websites or personal blogs!
I’m surprised he’d been given the opportunity in America, I think his mostly not funny at all, especially when he try’s to be funny, which is more often than not given he is a “comedian”.
Then again in Australia we take to foreign comedians here too, like Scotland’s Danny Bhoy, I used to find him funny, but he’s been using the same act for years like so many other comedians, thanks to a repeat of the old 2004 ABC stand-up comedy show called “Stand Up!” I saw his performance hadn’t changed since back then, still playing with the same Scottish/Irish joke.
I know his wife died recently and all, so you’re not supposed to pick on him.. but this show sucks!!
The Yanks can have Rove. I hope he stays there (& we don’t get it).
Hi David..Rove has been quiet about this trip..any knowledge of the purpose of this trip?
