2.2m watch Efficient win

2,191,000m people watched Efficient win the 2007 Melbourne Cup Race yesterday, making it the #1 show of the day, and most likely the week.

It was down from 2.27m in 2006.

The flow-on from the race helped Seven to a 33.4% ratings share over its competition. Outside of prime time ratings, the race actually did not contribute to Seven’s nightly share.

Last year Seven had 34.6% for the same day.

It was a great win by Efficient, the only horse TV Tonight had backed in the race. Woohooo!
