If you missed the arena tour of Countdown 2 fear not, it’s coming to the ABC.

Performers in the spectacular include Rick Springfield, Martha Davis of The Motels, Doug Fieger of The Knack, Les McKeown of The Bay City Rollers, Samantha Fox, Kate Ceberano, Supernaut, The Radiators, Sharon O’Neill, Paul Gray of Wa Wa Nee and Doc Neeson’s Angels.

Molly Meldrum hosts (un-ably) assisted by John Paul Young.

The concert recorded in August in Melbourne screens at 9pm Sunday December 9.

It’s time to pull out the leg-warmers, polish up the platforms and pump out the hair gel for Countdown Spectacular 2, which screens Sunday December 9 at 9.00pm.

Countdown was an institution in the 70-80s, and this concert extravaganza is a blast from the past, featuring not only our Australian favourites, but a stack of international stars who perform their chart topping songs.

Molly Meldrum is back to host the show, with John Paul Young by his side.

And of course Countdown would not be Countdown without the voice of Gavin Wood and the Countdown Dancers, who have been working on some even more exciting routines.
