Half a Bill?

The ABC will remove The Bill from its Tuesday timeslot next year due to disappointing ratings. It will be replaced by hour long documentaries.

The change will reportedly see Foreign Correspondent trimmed from 40 minutes to 30 minutes.

No word whether ABC will shift it to another slot or cut the show from two airings a week, to one.

The Bill has double eps on Saturdays during Summer.

  1. Watching The Bill has been a Tuesday and Saturday evening ritual for my youngest son and I for years – its about the only thing we do watch together. I certainly hope that it will keep to 2 hours a week, whatever the time slots.

  2. triming the the time foreign corespondent has thats a bloody shambles it is one of the best
    international affairs show and
tells the real story and problay only one of the only reasons to watch the abc aprt from the chaser

  3. the ratings in the UK are still fine, around 5m per episode, its still one of ITV’s top 5 shows..I really hope the ABC either keep with the double eps on Sat or schedule a second episode somewhere, its been on once a week over summer a few years back and moved at a snails pace, its intended to be a twice a week show!

  4. Is that show still going.

How are the ratings fairing in the UK and is it shown in the US???
