Australian Idol 2007 will be either Natalie Gauci or Matt Corby.
Queensland trumpeter Carl Riseley missed out on his chance at the Opera House in tonight’s Verdict show.
17yo Matt Corby from Cronulla is considered the favourite.
He will compete against 25yo Natalie Gauci from Melbourne.
Next week the two will present their rendition of their potential single, allowing one week of votes before the Opera House grand final on November 25.

this season has been so boring and bland, i have resorted to watch other tv shows.. I would have to admit that the first season was the best one by far..
Guy Sebastian was the true and only idol, he had class and sass, he also brought angels here.
Hillsong will be out in force making sure their star wins so he can spread their message.
How can you know this is the worst season ever of Idol if you’ve only watched 5 mins of it? 🙂
Good result – but the Idol: Verdict show was terrible. It’s bad enough it takes 50 minutes to get to the verdict part of the show, but it then took 15 minutes and 2 commercial breaks to read two names on cards.
Even the hosts said they could read the result earlier, but had ‘more filler.’
The Monday night show ruins Idol for me.
Arghh! Damn daylight saving spoiled it for me! 🙁
Ugh. I want Natalie to win only because I can’t stand that drag queen Matt.
This has been byfar the WORST season of Idol yet, and I don’t think I’ve watched more than 5 minutes of this season. For the first time, I don’t think I’ll be watching the finale.
