SBS has four new eps of the popular science show Mythbusters returning in December.
It’s back 7:30pm Monday December 3rd.
The first ep sees Jamie and Adam investigate the Hollywood cliché that a quick thinking action hero can protect his fellow cast members from a grenade blast.
There will also be a Christmas episode and a 90 minute ‘Pirate’ episode, investigating whether the eyepatch would help you see in the dark, whether you could use a knife to slide down a sail, whether a canon ball killed more people compared to the splinters, and whether alcohol could be a good cleaner for laundry.
What about whether a Pirate Master can work as Reality TV?

Come on SBS, this is a part-Australian show that makes nearly 30 episodes a season, and you’ve been drip-feeding us repeats for weeks.
The pirate special aired in the US back last *January*!
I will be interested to see how the audience numbers for the first new episode compare against those before the predictable SBS dose’o’repeats started up.
