Vintage Jay to plug strike holes

As the Writer’s Strike enters its fourth week, producers and studios are back at the negotiating table with the WGA.

But NBC isn’t pinning its hopes on a fruitful outcome just yet. It has been airing reruns of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Leno has been a big supporter of the WGA strike, appearing at picket lines in LA.

Now it will air classic episodes from the early 1990s as a way of filling the void.

They include a 1992 appearance by Tom Hanks, Jennifer Aniston and Johnny Depp in 1995, Julia Roberts in 1993 and Matt Damon in 2000.

No word on whether the Comedy Channel will follow suit here.
