Week 49 of the year, a non-ratings week, saw the Seven Network retain its position as #1 network. But with slim pickings on commercial networks, the public broadcasters gained ground.
Seven finished with a share of 27.0%, Nine 24.0%. Both TEN and the ABC tied with 21.0%, while SBS had 7.0%, equaling its best performance all year.
The ABC was second on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights, while the ABC News was the #1 show for Thursday. SBS did very well with Who Do You Think You Are? gaining 601,000, making it the #3 show for the broadcaster so far this year. East West 101 had 358,000.
The top show of the week was Seven News on Monday with 1.4m.
