How many more Award shows can America squeeze into one end of the calendar year?

The People’s Choice Awards have just handed out their gongs, literally, to their recipients on location. In a pre-recorded presentation, this proved a novel way to get around the WGA strike and threat of picketing writers.

The big TV winners were the stars of Grey’s Anatomy with three and Ellen DeGeneres with two nods.
