Fat Pizza actor ‘wished he had died’

Former Fat Pizza actor George Nassaur has told a Sydney court he wishes he had been killed, instead of his brother, in a stabbing attack two years ago.

Nassaur was reading a victim impact statement in the courtcase over the death of his brother, Robin Nassaur, 34, who was stabbed in January 2006.

He said he was plagued with guilt over the night his brother was attacked in a carpark and wonders if he could have done more to save him.

George Nassaur told the court he wished he had died instead.

Brothers Mouhamed and Sleiman Tajjour, and co-accused Michael Ibrahim have pleaded guilty to manslaughter over Robin Nassaur’s death.

The sentencing hearing continues.
