101 uses for Joey Fatone

He didn’t bring much to his hosting role on The Singing Bee, and former NSync singer Joey Fatone doesn’t seem to bring much to his hosting role on the red carpets of America, either. But nor are the alternative choices much chop.

Fatone certainly isn’t the new Joan Rivers as he asks non-probing questions of celebs at ceremonies including the Grammys, Emmys and the upcoming Oscars alongside former Melrose star Lisa Rinna.

He can be seen in Australia live to air on Arena’s Oscars Red Carpet Arrivals 10am Monday February 25.

On the other hand, Ryan Seacrest and E! News co-host, Giuliana Rancic, will offer an alternative Live on the Red Carpet at the same time on the E! channel.

Or you could just wait for Richard Wilkins on Nine’s delayed 80th Annual Academy Awards telecast at 8:30pm later that night. As choices go, that’s almost tricky, Dicky.

Meanwhile Nine has made no statement about a return of The Singing Bee in 2008. It’s figures were ok in 2007, could it return at some point with a local host? Stranger things have happened.

PS. Come back Joan Rivers!
