Brothers and Sisters: more writers exit

Somebody cue Sally Field’s tears.

Brothers and Sisters has reportedly lost yet another of its behind the scenes creatives.

Showrunner Mark Perry is said to have quietly exited his post after joining the drama this season to fill the void left by executive producer Greg Berlanti and series creator Jon Robin Baitz.

Berlanti scaled back his duties to focus on Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone, while Baitz left bitterly over creative differences.

Is it now only a matter of time until key cast members look toward the door, too?

Berlanti is expected to replace Perry from within current writing staff, hopefully allowing a seamless transition.

Earlier this week Dexter’s Daniel Cerone left that drama to join Dirty Sexy Money.

  1. I really hope that news about Cerone leaving Dexter isn’t true or that it is reversed. IMO its a huge mistake to go from something as huge and brilliant as Dexter to something as cheap and sordid as DSM. I know of the two, DSM is probably the most successful what with it being a primetime show on ABC compared to a critically-acclaimed Showtime series, but most people would agree that Dexter makes for far better television. We’ll see what happens when the show comes back in September.
