Jason soap faces the axe

A UK soap starring Jason Donovan is about to get the chop.

Echo Beach dropped to a low of 1.9m viewers last week. The drama set in the fictional Cornish coastal town only started airing in January.

But there is better news for the “spin-off” behind the scenes mockumentary, Moving Wallpaper.

The drama ‘created’ by the characters of Moving Wallpaper, frequently comprises the storylines of Echo Beach.

As I told you last year, the two interlinking shows are a bold commission from ITV. But it appears only one looks like reaching a second series.

  1. oh it will come back, you cant really have one without the other, however it wont return in quite the same way as it did this series, and probaly alot less of it.

    and lets be honest people are only watching it for the Moving Wallpaper / Echo Beach in jokes, not because they like EB, I gave up after 4 episodes of EB.
