National Apology update

The commercial networks have joined with the ABC and SBS in broadcasting the National Apology from Canberra on Wednesday morning.

Today will extend through to 9:45am on Nine, to be followed by Morning with Kerri-Anne.

Sunrise on Seven will end at 10am when The Morning Show begins.

The ABC will screen The Apology to the Stolen Generations from 8:55am to 10:30am.

SBS has The National Apology from 8:55am to 10am.

All times are AEDT.

So far there is no specific advice from TEN or Foxtel.

The ABC will broadcast ‘The Apology to the Stolen Generations of Australia’ live from Canberra Parliament House on Wednesday, February 13 on ABC1 and ABC Online from 8.55am in NSW, Victoria, ACT and Tasmania.

Hosted by Lateline’s Tony Jones and Message Stick’s Miriam Corowa, the live 1.5 hour broadcast will include:

* an interview with Mick Dodson who led (along with Sir Ronald Wilson) the Human Rights Commission inquiry into the Stolen Generations

* commentary from key figures such as Lowitja O’Donoghue and Fred Chaney

* political analysis by Tony Jones and Chris Uhlmann

* reactions from members of the stolen generations.

In the other states the program will be screened live at :

* 6:55am in Western Australia

* 7:25am in the Northern Territory

* 7:55am in Queensland

* 8:25am in South Australia
