New animation from Mike Judge

Mike Judge, co-creator of King of the Hill is working on a new animated series called The Goode Family.

The show, being made for ABC, is about a family of do-gooders and is the network’s first new animation since Clerks.

Work is underway on 13 episodes thanks to an agreement the producer, Media Rights Capital, has reached with the striking Writers Guild of America.

MRC television president Keith Samples said: “As a practical matter, signing the waiver gave us a big advantage in getting going on a lot of these things that were sitting on hold. It allowed us to start working on projects and get some traction.”

Executive producers John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky have also returned.

Seven returns new eps of KOTH at 12:30pm from Saturday Feb 16.

  1. Although I think the show could have been given a better title, I’ve loved both of Mike Judge’s animated shows (Beavis and Butt-head, King of the Hill), and I’ll be looking forward to this as well.

BTW, does anybody know which FTA network has the rights to Office Space? (I think it was 7, but I’m not certain)
