Rove rubbishes mag’s ‘shock news’

Rove has lashed out at Women’s Day for publishing what he claims are false stories, as he rebuilds his life with girlfriend Tasma Walton.

“The magazines seem to be doing a wonderful job of . . . just making up whatever the hell they want,” McManus said.

The mag recently published a story quoting a “friend” under the headline, “Rove and Tasma Shock Baby News.”

Taking the idea one step further, he even said, “My hope (is) to be the first man in history to be rumoured by a magazine to have a baby bump. It’s only February, so who knows?”

The Woman’s Day article appeared not long before January 29, the day that would have marked the third anniversary of McManus’s wedding to Emmett. In the article, a “friend” of Walton’s claimed: “Tasma and Rove are head over heels in love and feel it’s not too early to take the next step in their relationship.”

Woman’s Day editorial director Louisa Hatfield claimed to be “stressed” by McManus’s criticism saying, “We love Rove, our readers love Rove and we are stressed that he is upset with us,”

  1. Good on him for hitting back. It won’t stop the magazine from publishing other ridiculous “stories” like that one, but at least we know its not true.
