The ABC will repeat the Prime Minister’s Apology to the Stolen Generations of Australia, and ceremony, from midday in each state on Saturday February 16.

393,000 people (33% share) tuned into ABC1 yesterday to watch the event with a further 10,000 online.

ABC TV will repeat the Prime Minister’s Apology to the Stolen Generations of Australia, and ceremony, from midday in each state on Saturday February 16.

Hosted by Lateline’s Tony Jones and Message Stick’s Miriam Corowa, the two-hour broadcast includes:

* an interview with Mick Dodson who led (along with Sir Ronald Wilson) the Human Rights Commission inquiry into the Stolen Generations
* commentary from key figures such as Lowitja O’Donoghue and Fred Chaney

* political analysis by Tony Jones and Chief Political Correspondent Chris Uhlmann
* reactions from members of the stolen generations

393,000 people (33% share) tuned into ABC1 yesterday, across the five cities, to view the event. This figure only includes people viewing at home.

More than 10,000 people turned to abc.net.au to view the Apology. The ABC successfully streamed a record number of live concurrent streams via their online sites.
