Chasers headed for court in July

The hearing over The Chaser’s APEC security breach will take place from July 7 to July 18.

Magistrate Michael Price today refused a request for a further adjournment by the prosecution, saying “I think the matter has had sufficient history for this court to list a hearing date.”

Prosecutor Peter Morgan told the court the DPP had this morning informed him the matter may be handed to another lawyer.

None of the accused Chaser members appeared in court today. All have pleaded not guilty.

A review date ahead of the hearing was set down for April 3 in the same court.

  1. The prosecution is calling the adjournments? And they have just given the case another new lawyer?
Oh dear, thats not a good sign for the DPP. Maybe no lawyer wants to take the case out of fear of looking stupid and being the guy that prosecuted The Chaser Team.
I thought there was talk of dropping the charges! Obviously that aint gonna happen.
