Holden: "I wasn’t pushed."

Mark Holden has denied he was dropped by Australian Idol.

“I categorically deny that I was pushed out by the production company [Fremantle Media]. This is something that I have generated over the last year.”

Speaking at a press conference for Shout The Musical, Holden echoed his sentiments given to press last year about an overcrowded judging panel.

“I make no bones about it. The four judges thing, for me, I found very difficult. Everything was rushed and I found it difficult to give constructive criticism in the amount of time we had.”

Last year ratings for Australian Idol were consistently lower than season averages. It returns to TEN later this year.
