How I Met Britney’s guest role

Maybe she was inspired by Paris Hilton’s nod at a role in My Name is Earl, but Britney Spears has signed on to guest star in an upcoming episode of CBS’ How I Met Your Mother.
She will play a character called Abby, who works in the doctor’s office of Ted, the main character played by Josh Radnor. Spears’ role is described as “sweet and friendly and scattered and a little nerdy—a female Michael Cera.”
The episode will be the third the cast and crew will film since returning from the writers’ strike, and the 14th of the season. New episodes begin airing in the US next Monday.
Spears’ role is, for the time being, slated to be a one-episode endeavor, and will likely air toward the end of April.
The show returns to Channel Seven on Thursday March 20 at 8:00pm.

Have you seen the kids on the show? They don’t look anything like Britney. Still, it could happen.
Anyway, this is interesting news. It’d be better if they got Jamie Lynn Spears to play the secretary role or whatever, but its still good. Since most of the ppl on this website hate this show, they’ll probably use this as another reason to dismiss it, but it really is an enjoyable show. I didn’t vote for it in the poll though as I have enjoyed Back To You more this year than HIMYM or any other show on that list, although if we’re talking funniest/most entertaining comedy, Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia easily trumps all.
It gets press and consequently ratings, I presume.
Hey, at least she’s not playing herself, unlike Paris “talent vacuum” Hilton.
I don’t know what is up with this stunt casting of late, but it would be brilliant if Britney turned out to be the mother.
