At long last TEN has scheduled HBO comedy Flight of the Conchords.
It will premiere at 10:10pm Sunday May 11, following Rove.
The cult comedy stars two New Zealand comedy-musicians trying to crack the big time in New York. The folk musos, Bret McKenzie and Jermaine Clement, have had a long success on the comedy circuit and their self-referential HBO series has garnered strong acclaim and industry nominations.
Each episode includes a musical segment where the characters break into song, narratively commenting on their plots -certainly making for one of the more unusual concepts on the box.
The support cast includes Arj Barker, Rhys Darby and Kristen Schall, who recently won a top prize at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Look forward to this one, gang!

No thanks TEN. Got fed up waiting and bought the DVD from Amazon months ago.
Actually it’s not on HD at all.
Will this be only on 10HD, or is 10 going to show it on the standard channel also?
Finally. I’ve been waiting for Ten to get to this. Their self-titled album is great – hopefully the TV show lives up to the hype.
Though I must say I’m not pleased with the timeslot. How’s a show supposed to find success at a time like that.
