Auditions: Football Superstar

FOX8 is on a national talent search for the next Football Superstar for an 8 part reality series.

It is looking for youths aged 16 – 21 to tryout this Sunday in Melbourne.

The prize package includes a season long contract with an A-League youth team alongside a university scholarship valued at $30,000.

FOX8 is on a mission to see if the next Kewell, Cahill or Neill is kicking around in Victoria, undiscovered.

Young footballers aged 16 to 21 from around the state are invited to tryout for FOOTBALL SUPERSTAR, a national scout for undiscovered talent which will lead to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the most talented contender.

The winner will walk off the pitch with an unbelievable prize package comprised of a season long contract with an A-League youth team alongside a university scholarship valued at $30,000.

In the first of a national scout, any male aged 16 – 21 is invited to attend the tryouts on Sunday April 13 held at the following venue:

SS Anderson Reserve
Williamstown Road
Port Melbourne

Early arrivals are requested as registration will close at 8.30am SHARP.

At the tryouts, applicants will undergo a series of scientifically designed skills tests devised by the Australian Institute of Sport in conjunction with coaching experts.

A chosen few will move into a special training house where they will undergo a gruelling month-long trial which will be televised on FOX8. An expert judging panel alongside celebrity football guests will determine who will stay and go each week as the group are culled down to a final 3. After a final trial match the winning football apprentice is anointed Australia ’s FOOTBALL SUPERSTAR.

The overall goal for FOOTBALL SUPERSTAR is not only to unearth undiscovered Australian football talent, but to offer development in the hope of seeing this young player progress to a professional football career.

FOOTBALL SUPERSTAR is an eight-part reality TV series due for broadcast on FOX8 from June 2008 and produced by North One Television Australia .
