Farewell: Sally Fletcher

For soapie fans still recovering from the departure of Neighbours’ ‘Harold Bishop’ last week, tonight it will be time to break out the Kleenex as ‘Sally Fletcher’ leaves Home and Away.

Kate Ritchie has been with the show since she was cast at the age of eight years old. A Gold Logie and endless plotlines later, she is one of only two original cast members on the Seven soap.

For one who has been with the show for so long it is a testament to her character that you cannot hear a bad word about her. Now, after twenty years, she leaves the show with the love and admiration of colleagues and viewers alike. A classy lady, indeed.

    Also there were returns for Stefan Dennis, Kym Valentine, Mark Little, Kimberley Davies, Joan Sydney and next Janet Andrewartha.

  2. I shed a few tears tonight while watching Kate’s last show – she’s an amazing character Sally & really is the backbone of the show. Fantastic to see a few old characters back (Neighbours take note).
    Will realy miss Kate Ritchie on the show!
