Golden pilots coming up

Here’s one for fans of TV nostalgia.

Seven is repeating the classic sitcom The Golden Girls from next week, but the really interesting point is it will kick off with the pilot episode.

It’s a rare chance to see how Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia first started out in 1985, at 3pm Monday April 21.

And the pilot episode of Two and a Half Men is also scheduled to be replayed on Nine, at 7pm Thursday April 24.

Hands up who can remember why Alan moved in with Charlie in 2003 in the first place?

Yep, it’s because his wife came out as lesbian.

The show was directed by the legendary James Burrows.

  1. I’m in my early 20’s I remember watching this in the early 90’s with my mum I guess I was 8 at the time and sure it was probable aimed at people older than what I was at the time we both thought that it was hilarious especially Rose and her wacky stories.

Ah back in the days of some good family feel good shows and comedies from my younger years like Family Matters, Empty Nest, Step by Step, Perfect Strangers and Full House will that’s about all that seems to stand out in my mind from that time in the early 90’s kinda wish they’d repeat some of those also.
