NineMSN is now previewing a sleek new website for National Nine News, its first revamp since 2005.
The site will benefit from a large, aesthetic white background.
Nine will offer a site that is “wider, less cluttered and, hopefully, easier to use.”
Video clips added to the front page, are now user-initiated for those using the site in the work place, with no pop-ups.
Executive Producer Andrew Hunt says, “With the flick of a switch, we can stream footage from any Nine camera, whether it’s in the air or on the ground. We are now also able to stream direct from a mobile phone.”
With a few more bugs to be ironed out, Nine says it will migrate from the old site later this week.
Meanwhile in its on-air presentation many viewers have noticed sign-offs from reporters with a simple “Nine News” (dropping the ‘National’).
However, as indicated by the site, the product is still formally known as National Nine News.
