Heads up for Bette Midler’s appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show. It will screen at 1pm on TEN Monday April 21st.
The Divine Miss M chats about turning 60 and preparing for her residency at Caesar’s Palace in The Showgirl Must Go On.
“The thing is, when I turned 60, I wasn’t so nervous. But as 61 crept up and 62, I was like, ‘Oh my God, the clock really is ticking, isn’t it? I better get cracking here.'”
Midler’s 21yo daughter Sophie also chats to Winfrey.
Sophie says she was never attracted to the bright lights of Hollywood—which was a relief to her mother. “She was, like, ‘If you ever go into the movie business, I’ll never speak to you again,'” Sophie jokes.
Midler’s daughter is excited that her mother will be headlining in Las Vegas. “It will be great to live in a new city, a new town. See what Vegas is all about. See what the fantastic city has to offer, so I’m excited, definitely.”
