At last a ‘bump’ of the good kind…..
Seven has relented on its plan to air a split finale for Lost, and will now air the final two instalments together from the earlier time of 9:30pm.
It will screen on Thursday June 5, pushing Trinny and Susannah out of schedule.
I suspect Seven is doing this to wrap up the season given last week’s appalling figure of 392,000 would only be duplicated twice. The fact that Trinny and Susannah also didn’t perform especially well makes this an easier decision.
Lost airs tonight and on June 5. Next week it is off due to the US resting a week also.
No word on the future of the British makeover ladies….

Fantastic news. Seven have finally given in. I will now wait for the episode to air instead of downloading it as I have previously said on the other post.
What Seven needs to do for season five is keep the 6 day “fast tracking” that it is currently doing, which is working better than waiting 6 months (imagine the ratings!) but come up with better promos for the show that do not contain key plot elements and cement it a timeslot. (9:30 Thursday as they had it) to give room for 2 hour finales. Then just stick Trinny and Susannah when Lost takes a break in the US for the odd week.
Seven, those ratings are your own doing. The Lost niche has been long gone.
Fantastic news. I’ll definitely be tuning into this…and I may record it too.
It’s nice to see Seven have listened to the angry fans over at the official forums.
The thing that worries me, though, is if the show is rating so poorly will it return next season?
That’s great! Two hours of Lost from 9.30. Some times things do work out for the best. Touch wood. With two weeks to go, let’s hope Seven don’t change their minds again.
