Returning: Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl returns to FOX8 soon with five new episodes produced following the end of the writers’ strike.

They return to FOX8 from 8:30pm Tuesday June 17.

In forthcoming storylines, Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg from Buffy) is introduced, and one of the characters is revealed as gay.

Gossip Girl has been a big hit for FOX8, it’s most popular drama series to date.

Press Release:

FOX8’s highest ever rating drama series GOSSIP GIRL will finally continue its first season post-writer’s strike with five more episodes to reach its true season finale. The remaining episodes will premiere in Australia on FOX8 from June 17 with the most scandalous storylines to date.

The series will pick up from episode 13 titled ‘The Blair Bitch Project’. Having recently been dethroned as Queen Bee in the last episode by Gossip Girl, with an assist from scheming “little J,” Blair (Leighton Meester) hesitantly returns to school with the support of her BFF, Serena (Blake Lively).

Meanwhile, Serena struggles to adjust to her new living arrangements with her future stepbrother, Chuck (Ed Westwick), while receiving disturbing packages from an unknown sender. And Jenny’s (Taylor Momsen) drive to be popular hits a new alltime high when she does something illegal to fit in with her new Upper East Side friends.

Sensational new storylines are promising to be explosive in the final episodes of season one with the introduction of the spiteful Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg). A visitor from Serena’s past, fresh out of rehab, Georgina reveals the true reason why Serena left town. And whose homosexual confession shakes up a family and breaks up a couple?

Everyone who’s anyone is hanging to find out what will happen next in this mouth-watering salaciously-glamorous drama.

GOSSIP GIRL will return to FOX8 with five new episodes of season 1 to be screened in Australia from Tuesday June 17 at 8.30pm.

  1. So does the Nine Network still have any plans to show Gossip Girls?

BTW – the final few eps are good but felt rushed given the strike.
