SciFi picks up Jericho

Missing those unaired episodes of Jericho? Here’s some good news for you.

The SciFi Channel will begin screening Jericho from June.

It starts the series from 7:30pm Thursday June 5 beginning with episode 1.

There were 29 eps in total made in the US, only about half of which were screened on TEN. SciFi will have access to them all.

Depending on how rights fare, there is a remote chance it might also prompt to screen its remaining stock on its HD Channel ahead of SciFi -but don’t hold your breath.

Despite getting a second lease of life after a fan campaign, Jericho again failed to attract strong enough ratings to evoid cancellation.

  1. The fight to save Jericho is not over!

If you want more Jericho please write to: Ms. Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604-2190.

Ask her to continue to produce Jericho and sell it to another network. These letters need to go out now, if we wish to save Jericho.

  2. For starters, the Sci-Fi channel on Foxtel is lousy!!Too many repeats of Star Trek/Stargate etc. Also, it is not in widescreen, watching shows like Heroes on the channel is ghastly!! Channel 7 showed Heroes in Widescreen, and unfortunately, Jericho, will have the same thing happen.
I would of prefered Jericho if it was going to be shown on Foxtel, for it to be on Fox8(which is widescreen).

  3. damn i don’t have any pay tv just free to air, lets hope it does light a fire under channel 10. they should at least put it on the HD channel seeing as the HD exclusive shows of veronica mars, the shield and conviction have all finished up if i’m not mistaken. they need something to put on the weeknights that are not thursday so lets hope jericho gets a screening finally.

  4. Two endings were filmed just in case it wasn’t renewed. There has been some talk of cable picking it up for more but nothing concrete.

  5. David, do you know if this show had an actual conclusion? in that, does the storyline wrap up in the final episode or was it axed (for the second time!) mid season or i guess even mid writters strike..i dont want to start watching it if it doesnt tie up the storyline in the end..cheers, craig
