ATOM Award entries closing

Last call for producers to enter their TV wares in the annual ATOM Awards, the gongs handed out by the Australian Teachers of Media. The emphasis on the awards is on educational merit, but also includes documentary, short films and animation.

The awards are also open to indie filmmakers, students and educational bodies.

Last year Nine’s Lockie Leonard beat Totally Wild, Dogstar and Double Trouble for Best Children’s Series. Other wins in 2007 went to Eco House Challenge, Cuttlefish The Brainy Bunch and 2 Mums and a Dad.

Entries close Tuesday June 10.

2008 EnhanceTV ATOM Awards – entry deadline is approaching
The 2008 EnhanceTV ATOM Awards are open to students, production companies, independent filmmakers, educational bodies and educational producers, and celebrate the very best of Australian and New Zealand product.

The EnhanceTV ATOM Awards place an emphasis on documentary, new media, short film and educational/vocational productions. The Awards are a great opportunity to network and build relationships with other practitioners in the screen industry.

The Deadline for entry into the 2008 EnhanceTV ATOM Awards Entry is 12noon Tuesday 10 June, 2008.

Judging will take place in July, 2008 and finalists will be notified in August 2008.

The 2008 EnhanceTV ATOM Awards Ceremony is in October 2008.
