Chris Noth is leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Jeff Goldblum joins.
“Chris has been a member of the Law & Order family since the beginning, and Mike Logan is one of the most popular detectives in the history of television,” Dick Wolf said.
“We all wish him the best.”
Goldblum, who recently starred in the short-lived drama Raines, will be spitting starring duties with Vincent D’Onofrio throughout the season the way D’Onofrio did with Noth in the past three years.
“Jeff’s presence will add a new dimension to an already successful show,” Wolf said.
Law & Order: CI was recently renewed for a 16-episode eighth season. The seventh season returns to TEN next Thursday night at 8:30pm.

Odd just saw Chris Noth on the news saying how much he enjoyed doing L&O. Definately my favorite L&O detective but it will be interesting to see how Jeff goes.
