Curtis Stone was arrested on May 30 for driving under the influence in Los Angeles and has has spent 12 hours in a Californian jail, according to The Advertiser.

The TV chef, 32, was arrested on May 30 and booked at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood station.

The records show Stone – who hosted My Restaurant Rules on Seven and Surfing the Menu for the ABC, moved to LA in 2006 to host Take Home Chef. He was released almost 12 hours later after posting $5270 bail.

Officers saw Stone driving erratically and pulled him over in the centre of Hollywood’s party district.

Stone quickly ended a conversation when The Advertiser followed up the news. He did not deny he had been arrested for drink driving and held in police custody for 12 hours.

Stone did not return repeated requests for comment and his Hollywood agent also did not return calls.

Four hours after the initial conversation with Stone, The Advertiser received a phone call last night from entertainment lawyer Marty Singer who threatened The Advertiser with legal action if reports about the incident were published.
