Nine tempts Ed with the big top

After TV Tonight told you exclusively last week that Temptation was doing its final records, other media have now picked up on the news. Some of the details, including that Nine has filmed 13 episodes, isn’t quite accurate -it’s respectably more than this.
But it still falls short of the number of blocks Nine had planned to shoot in 2008.
“Ed is obviously disappointed that the show isn’t getting a run but Nine have been great,” his manager told Confidential. “They have confidence in him and he’s still going to be working.”
Phillips is said to have agreed to host several TV specials around the touring circus extravaganza Cirque du Soleil, scheduled to perform its latest production Dralion in Sydney in July. Dunno why they didn’t get him to front A Current Affair this week… oh wait…
Meanwhile, Nine assures it will screen new eps of the popular game show later this year. If they do well enough there is a chance the show could be dusted off for another round….
