Airdate: J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life

“She’s lovely. Just kind of normal, really – like an English teacher, or a secretary working for a charity. Both of which she was, before she turned into a gold mine,” says a Guardian television reviewer of J.K. Rowling. He’d just watched the documentary J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life which Seven will air on Sunday week.

The special screens at 6:30pm Sunday July 13 in the slot vacated by Gladiators.

As Rowling says on her own site, “For the last 12 months I have been filmed for a documentary by James Runcie, who apart from making films is also a fellow novelist. The documentary follows my life over the last year of writing Harry Potter and includes footage of me working on ‘Deathly Hallows’, on tour, at the launch and much more.”
