Seven will whet appetites with audition episodes of Make Me a Supermodel prior to the Olympics smothering our screens.
It airs at 7:30pm Wednesday August 6.
Melbourne, Perth and Darwin will feature in the opening episode as judges Martin Walsh and Jackie Frank eye both male and female contenders. Sydney auditions follow the next day.
The show’s mentor Tyson Beckford recently jetted in to Australia to meet with Hawkins and producers.

JENNIFER HAWKINS hosts a search across the nation where fourteen of the most beautiful people from Australia will fight it out to become an Australian Supermodel. Jennifer will be joined by judges, MARTIN WALSH and JACKIE FRANK, who will leave no stone unturned as they discover the fashion wonderland of Melbourne, search the tropics of Darwin and explore the wild west of Perth. Thousands of wannabe supermodels take to the audition catwalk to strut their stuff all aspiring to make the Top 40!

After a whirlwind tour, JENNIFER HAWKINS is joined by America’s only male supermodel, TYSON BECKFORD in the quest to find the final fourteen. Forty of Australia’s most beautiful people have been flown to Sydney for an intensive weekend of auditions, photo shoots and catwalks. Only fourteen will make the cut and be part of the hot new super series on Seven, MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL.

This will make it direct competition to So You Think You Can Dance won’t it?
Weird move, it could either backfire or boost numbers
People can start talking about it prior to the Olympics n Seven can push the talk with wall-to-wall ad’s
then again,it could break up audience who could move onto another post-Olympic series
a second episode airs at 8pm on Thursday the 7th, according to Aaron @ the tvaus forums.. interesting move.
