Farmer Wants a PG Wife

Earlier this year it was a Gladiators contestant, then it was a Big Brother housemate, now Farmer Wants a Wife has learned one of its participants has had some candid pics discovered by media.

21yo ‘Monique,’ who appeared in the premiere episode in pursuit of Farmer Nick, is the subject of a story in News Limited press. mX says pics of her appeared on an X-rated website.

It’s not clear whether Monique revealed everything about her past to producers and although it isn’t necessarily an ideal fit for a family-skewed show, it’s debatable where any blame should be directed. At producers or at the contestant?

The pics (censored: here) were apparently taken only this year.

Earlier this week BB’s Rima addressed questions about her previous photo shoot with her defiant spirit, probably one of the reasons she has gathered a band of fans. Given Big Brother contestants can be seen on TV showering naked, or agreeing to magazine spreads after they exit the show it’s not much of a fuss.

That said, it’s slightly different for programmes trying to market themselves as feelgood, family fare. Life could be more complicated if Monique proceeds through the show which would have completed the bulk of its filming by now too.

Some shows such as Australia’s Next Top Model go out of their way to investigate character and “sordid pasts.”

The way things are going it won’t be long before contestants have to sign a legal contract saying they haven’t done nude pics before appearing on Deal or No Deal or The Einstein Factor!

According to news.com.au, Nine declined to comment on the issue and didn’t allow mX anywhere near Farmer Nick.
