Football Superstar on the bench

New reality series Football Superstar has had a soft response from FOX8 viewers, failing to make the Top 100 shows on subscription TV last week.

In the previous week the series hosted by Brian McFadden & Amy Taylor scraped in at #98 with 25,000 viewers, but last week it didn’t make the cut.

It’s a disappointing result for a new local series in a profile 7:30pm slot.

The results contrast wildly with the excellent figure for Australia’s Next Top Model finale. It had 170,000 viewers in its first viewing and 33,000 in its second playing -the combined total gave FOX8 its biggest audience ever.

But the top show of the week on pay TV was a Fremantle v Essendon game at 225,000 viewers.

  1. I am also quite enjoying this show, the boys are quite funny, its such a change form the girls’ antics on Australians next Top Model!
As for the hosts, I really like Brian, he fits in well with the boys and the show, while I think the female co hosts role is kind of redundant…

  2. Get rid of Brian and the show would be much better… he doesn’t really add much.

Surely there were more than enough Aussie presenters they could have chosen instead.

  3. mmm, thats a bit of a shame, ive actually been quite enjoying it, Brian McFadden is a bit of a tool but the female host, Amy Taylor is actually very good
