Just Shoot Me replaces Nightline

Sitcom Just Shoot Me is what Nine will use to fill the slot vacated by Nightline. The former TEN comedy returns tonight at 11:30pm with the first episode of the sixth series, “Finch in the Dogg House.”

It plays Monday-Wednesday, with Thursdays running Footy Show editions back to back. Friday at 11:30pm there is a movie Missing in Action on TCN and QTQ with Seinfeld on GTV.

Next week replacing Nightline Nine repeats the UK reality series Shipwrecked (series one) at midnight Mondays, with Just Shoot Me on Tue / Wed.

Surfari will also premiere at midnight Wed Aug 13, hosted by Renee Bargh.

  1. itsross – I know this is OT but when was Seinfeld ever in widescreen?

BTW I didn’t know ch9 had the rights now.

I do agree ch9 is scraping the bottom of the barrel using old sitcom to fill what should be a nightly news wrap up show.

  2. So now Nine has become a dumping ground for old Network Ten sitcoms? Seinfeld, Just Shoot Me, The Nanny. (I’m aware Seinfeld was on Nine first but Ten made it popular here)

Years ago you’d never have imagined that Nine would resort to taking Ten’s sloppy seconds.. now they seem to making a habit of it.

  3. C’mon channel 9! Not only do you own the rights to Seinfeld, but you own the rights to the rarely seen WIDESCREEN digitally restored edition of Seinfeld! I would tune in EVERY night if you screened this nightly. Why just shoot me? Its not even funny, you might as well bring back Millsy’s Mint Mansion or whatever its called.

  4. One of my favorite sitcoms great to see it back! Would have preferred if Nine started from season 1 but this will do. With this and TBBT Nine are spoiling us!
