Wildcats are go

Get ready to squeal (or not) over the first pic from High School Musical 3, published today by People magazine.

The feature film is released in the States on October 24 (they obviously have top notch screenwriters now) and bound to set multiplex popcorn sales on fire.

HSM3 is the final instalment with the original cast at the fore, after which there will be a “new class” of kids, more sequels, prequels, animated, pre-school musicals and singing embryos. Kidding.

Disney recently kicked off another franchise with its Camp Rock (and don’t get me started on that title) telemovie which although not topping the HSM success is enough to mine for more product. It airs on the Disney Channel here on July 18.
