2008 Paralympics Guide

There’s only a two week reprieve in between the end of the Beijing Olympics and the start of the 2008 Paralympics, which begin Saturday September 6th.

ABC TV will broadcast over 100 hours of live, and highlight, coverage across ABC1, ABC2, ABC HD and ABC iView -the biggest effort by any broadcaster, anywhere in the world.

Most of the action will be on ABC2 with afternoon and evening sessions. One hour highlights will appear on ABC1 daily from 6-7pm and again around 11:30pm or earlier. Significantly, ABC HD (digital channel 20) will bring together both ABC1 and ABC2 coverage and broadcast in high definition (HDTV). And if that isn’t enough, all of the events will be available for free replay on iView.

Adam Hills, Paralympic Gold Medallist Louise Sauvage, and ABC Sport presenters Karen Tighe and Steve Robilliard (who made news at the weekend as the victim of a street assault) make up the commentary team.
