Airdate: The Strip

The question many have been wondering is where will Nine put The Strip?

With TEN putting Rush on Tuesday nights, and Seven already comfortable with City Homicide on Mondays, Nine has opted for 8:30pm Thursdays.

It premieres September 4th.

This is the same timeslot Nine originally launched Sea Patrol in its first year. It’s a good choice too, leading out of the tropical escapism of Getaway and competing with Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Ghost Whisperer.

Nine has also confirmed a few other changes for the week of August 31:

Mon Sept 1
8:30pm Movie: The Da Vinci Code

Tuesday Sept 2
9:30pm 20 to 1 (new)
10:30pm Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Premiere.

Wednesday Sept 3
8:30pm Movie: The Wedding Crashers

Saturday Sept 6
7:30pm Movie: Zathura: A Space Adventure
9:40pm Movie: Hellboy

But questions will now start to be asked about the status of McLeod’s Daughters. The show was rested over the Olympics, but isn’t scheduled next week, or it would appear, the week after.

Nine’s last figures for the drama were 880,000 -a concern against 1.37m for Spicks and Specks and 1.24 for Criminal Minds.
