Farmer wants a third series

Ok I promise to lay off all the obvious headlines (previously slugging you with ‘Farmer wants a re-edit?’ and ‘Farmer wants a PG wife’).

Channel Nine and FremantleMedia are reported to have agreed to a third season of the reality dating show, Farmer Wants a Wife.

And who can blame them, with a whopping 1.7m viewers tuning in on Monday night?

For the record, Farmer Ben, who earlier commented on some creative editing by producers, settled on Sydney girl Sarah.

There seems to be conflicting evidence over just how definite an actual wedding is (the Illawarra Mercury says they had discussed the possibility of Sarah moving into the Ben’s family farm), but at least they sound smitten.

According to the show’s official website Farmers Rob and Nick also seem to have fared pretty well in the love stakes. No doubt David Gyngell will happily send a wedding gift to any of the couples.
