Footy replay confuses TEN viewers

Channel TEN had some transmission problems last night during its panel show Before the Game.

A reader who contacted TV Tonight described a confused telecast which included a blank screen with a TEN watermark and, remarkably, screening one segment of the show twice.

“Viewers were made to sit through the entire 4th segment again, complete with the Bryan Strauchan (aka Strauchanie) package at the end. This would have been around 10 minutes broadcast twice, and no doubt many viewers would have switched over to something else while this shambles went on…” they wrote.

“Another ad-break, and into the 5th segment, with no mention of the technical hiccup at all (obviously because the show is recorded), and the show finished on time for the footy.”

Football fans on another website, Big Footy, were equally confused.

“WTF….. ???? Anybody got any idea what the hell Ch 10 are doing showing the same segment again….?????” said Betchsta.

“De ja vou… Yeah didn’t I see this about ten minutes ago…” said Buddylove 23.

“I thought I was on drugs,” added smooking39.

PJ Crows offered this explanation: “It stems from today’s broadcast of Port/Melbourne on SA FTA (Fox broadcast). They screwed up by saying that it would start at 2.30pm live, but it started at 3pm, and they’ve just realised it I reckon. The Pies/Swans game was supposed to be live in to Adelaide at 6.30, but we’re getting a sub-edit of Before The Game. Nice one, Ch 10.”
