Foreign Correspondent covers US election

Foreign Correspondent will present two special programs on the US election on August 26th and September 2nd.

Mark Corcoran travels to the US to visit the the Democratic and Republican conventions in Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis-Saint Paul.

The programme appears at 9:30pm Tuesdays on ABC.

Presenter Mark Corcoran presents two special programs on the battle for the US presidency from the Democratic and Republican conventions – 26th of August and the 2nd of September.

The conventions in Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis- Saint Paul, Minnesota provide a vital platform for the presidential candidates to appeal to American voters and help mould the policies which will be decisive in the November election.

Corcoran, a former ABC correspondent in Washington, and New York based producer Michael Maher have has been digging into the south side of Chicago where Barrack Obama forged the political skills which have catapulted the junior senator from Illinois to be the Democratic Party’s nominee for the presidency.
