Beijing ready for Paralympics

Here we go again. ABC1 and ABC2 are your home for the Paralympics from Sept 6 -17.

The Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games begins at 9:50pm Saturday night on ABC1 and ABC2. As previously noted, it will be commentated by Adam Hills, Louise Sauvage and Karen Tighe.

Most of the events can be seen on ABC2 in afternoon and evening sessions. On Sunday the first events will include Swimming Heats, Track Cycling and Wheelchair Basketball Womens AUS v GBR.

Highlights packaged screen on ABC1 at 6pm and 11:30pm daily.

All events screen on ABC HD and are available on iView.

Don’t miss the excitement of the Paralympic Games Beijing 2008, when ABC TV’s coverage starts with the spectacular Opening Ceremony on Saturday September 6 at 9.50pm.

Your host Adam Hills, along with Paralympic Gold Medallist Louise Sauvage and ABC Sport presenter Karen Tighe bring the thrills of the ceremony live to your screens on three channels – ABC1, ABC2 and ABC HD (digital channel 20).

ABC2 and ABC HD will then bring you seven-and-a-half hours per day of LIVE coverage of competition. Steve Robilliard will present the 1pm-5pm session and Karen Tighe will present the 7.30pm-11pm session of highlights.
